It was replaced with Office 365 subscription based Microsoft Office with a 30% discount. What retails for $99.99 (per year) is available to you for $69.99 (per year).
Office 365 is NOT compatible with Windows 8.1 (and older), or Mac OS 10.11.x (or older).
Your computer MUST have Windows 10 or Mac OS (10.12.x) (or newer) to install Office 365.

Oct 18, 2019 With the release of macOS 10.15 (aka Catalina), Apple has stopped supporting 32-bit applications on this new OS. If you have Office 2011, we recommend you upgrade to Office 365 or Office 2019. You can import your Outlook 2011 data to the new version of Outlook. Your Mac must have macOS Catalina 10.15 or later to run these apps. And these apps can import Office documents. Here’s how you can open Excel spreadsheets in Numbers, as well as export Numbers. I have an iMac with OS Catalina. Have Office 365 for Excel & Word applications. Can no longer open documents and/or revise same. Understand Microsoft no longer supports Office 365. QuickTime 7 is 32 bit software and will never be updated. It's dead. Don't know which version of Toast you're referring to.
Office 2016 does work. That it doesn't for you suggests you've never applied any updates. It was originally 32 bit software and MS updated the entire thing to 64 bit quite a while ago.
Download the 16.16.14 update and install it.

It's been two years since Apple started making it known 32 bit software was going to be left behind. With the introduction of Mojave, they came right out said 32 bit software would not run in the next major release of macOS. No OS name at the time, but that is now of course Catalina.
